We have a big city with an open system at our disposal in need of speed: heat. The game is played here on two stages. We go around the city during the day openly in search of Easter Eggs and of the legal race for the Speedhunters Showdown case, meeting
specially prepared challenges. There’s a lot of money we should win. Given the police patrol the streets, we should be careful not to violate the rules. But once we get under the police officers’ skin, they’ll be pretty sensitive with us.
After darkness, the condition shifts dramatically (which we can trigger manually). We may choose illicit competition at night to enhance our prestige and to achieve special elements for our tuning. In the afternoon, crooked law enforcement
officials would patrol the streets and stop at nothing and simply bring the drivers down. The amount of our heat depends on the extent of our skin. The bigger we get, the more we have to race against. We will also face armored tanks and choppers
in addition to traditional police cars. The greater the amount of heat we get, the more respect we get. We have to drop the tail and head to our hideout in order to get away from the cops. If we fail, all the prizes that we have earned will
be lost. It isn’t as easy to escape the cops, because every car has a health bar. When we empty it out, we get immobilized when we wreck other vehicles or barriers on the road.
